A Neutrino is an electrically neutral, weakly interacting elementary subatomic particle.
Meaning "small neutral one", it is an elementary particle that usually travels close to the speed of light, although recent and very controversial preliminary test data indicates that they may travel faster in certain circumstances.
According to the theory of Albert Einstein is the speed of light in the universe, the ultimate speed, but an experiment conducted by Dr. Ereditato and his team for the last three years of implementation suggest that neutrinos can travel faster than light.
This surprising result at CERN must be examined for errors.
As Dr. Ereditato said:
"We do not know what we want to be helped by the community in understanding our results fou -
because he is crazy "
The OPERA neutrino experiment at the Gran Sasso underground laboratory measured
Rate CNGS neutrino beam from CERN on the basis of 730 km with a much higher
Accuracy than previous studies with accelerator neutrinos.
The measurement is based on the statistics of high base
The data acquired by the Opera in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Upgrades dedicated the CNGS
Timing system and the OPERA detector, and a campaign of high-precision geodesy
Measurement of neutrino core can achieve an accuracy comparable systematic and statistical.
An early arrival of the CNGS muon neutrinos from a hypothesis calculated the rate of
Of light in vacuum (60.7 ± 6.9 (stat.) ± 7.4 (SYS.)) ns measured.
This anomaly corresponds to a relative difference in the speed of the muon neutrino from the speed of light (vc) / c = (2.48 ± 0.28 (stat.) ±
0.30 (SYS.)) × 10-5.
